Adrian H Elcock

Adrian H. Elcock was born and raised in Sheffield, England before attending the University of East Anglia where he obtained a first-class honors degree in Chemical Sciences in 1989. After working briefly in the chemical industry, he joined the research group of Prof. W. Graham Richards at the University of Oxford, obtaining his D.Phil. in Physical Chemistry in 1994. He then carried out five years of post-doctoral research in the group of Prof. J. Andrew McCammon at UC San Diego before joining the faculty of the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Iowa in 2000. His group’s work focuses on the use of molecular simulations to model the behavior of large-scale macromolecular systems.
