Cardiovascular diseases are number one cause of the deaths worldwide killing an approximate 18 million people in 2016. Factors contributing to these numbers include a sedentary life style, smoking and most significantly cardiopathic mutations. In this project, we are working on understanding and characterizing some of these mutations using graph-based signature approach and identify potential hotspot for new mutations. This approach can help identify new mutations timely thus, helping clinicians in better targeting and treating them. In this regard, I have collected data of cardiomyopathic mutations, as they most widely studied, along with myocardial infarction and coronary artery disease mutations. Later, these findings will be made available through a web-server for researchers and clinicians free of cost.

PS: I am still working on this project and will have some preliminary results before the conference starts in February.
